John Dragonetti
John Dragonetti is an American music composer and producer living in Los Angeles, California. He is also a founding member (along with Blake Hazard) of the band The Submarines.
==Life and career==

Dragonetti has scored the music for several films and television shows which have aired on HBO, Showtime, Sundance Channel, NBC and E!. He also composed the music for Doug Pray's documentary film Surfwise, and two of Brian Knappenberger's documentaries: We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists and The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz. In addition, he has composed music for numerous commercials for brands such as Volkswagen, Apple, Coca-Cola, Hummer and EA Games.
As a record producer he started with the Boston based pop group, Jack Drag, recording five albums, the last of which was co-produced by Chris Shaw. Dragonetti collaborated with mixer John O'Mahony (Metric, Cold Play) on the latest Submarines album. He produced and mixed ''Simmerkane-II'' the solo project of Dispatch and State Radio singer, Chadwick Stokes. He currently finished producing the debut album by 16-year-old Dylan Gardner. Dragonetti had done authorized remixes for Josh Ritter, Ra Ra Riot, Avril Lavigne, Leigh Nash and others.
John was born in Jackson, MI and moved to Cairo, Egypt at age five, where his father was the principal of the American School. The family then moved to Dubai, UAE where he spent most of his childhood. After attending high school at TASIS in Cyprus, he moved to Boston to study at Berklee School of Music. After playing in various local bands, Dragonetti started recording his own songs on his cassette four-track machine, which led to a publishing deal with Sony and a record deal with A&M and, subsequently, Sugar Free records.
In 2000, he met Blake Hazard, who was a touring member of Jack Drag. The band completed several European tours together, and Dragonetti produced Hazard's first solo album, Little Airplane. The two became a couple and moved to Los Angeles, where John started focusing on scoring for film and TV. Soon after moving to LA, Hazard and Dragonetti recorded the first Submarines album, Declare a New State.
